More than 32,000 subjects with Certificates of Merit received one-time allowance payment.

(Baonghean.vn) - According to information from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, after many years of compiling and documenting, up to now, more than 32,000 subjects who were awarded Certificates of Merit during the resistance war have received a one-time payment with a total amount of nearly 40 billion VND.

The payment of allowances is made in accordance with Decision No. 24/2016/QD-TTg dated June 14, 2016 of the Prime Minister on one-time allowances for people with achievements in participating in the resistance war who are awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister, Certificates of Merit by Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of Government agencies, and Certificates of Merit by Chairman of Provincial People's Committees.

In Nghe An, according to the synthesis, there are about 40,000 cases of this subject. However, in the first payment period, the number of subjects receiving subsidies is 32,387 people with the total cost to implement the payment policy for the subjects is 39,349,805,000 VND.

Nam Dan is the locality with the most beneficiaries with a total amount of more than 5.1 billion VND. Next are Nghi Loc, Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu. Among the beneficiaries, the most are those who received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee with nearly 18,000 beneficiaries.

The payment of subsidies has received positive public feedback, as this is an opinion that has been reflected in many meetings with voters over the years. According to regulations, the one-time subsidy for those awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister is 1,815,000 VND. The one-time subsidy for those awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Ministry or a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial level is 1,210,000 VND.

If a person with a Certificate of Merit has passed away without receiving a one-time allowance under this Decision, the representative of the relative shall receive the allowance according to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 3.

According to this Decision, there is no one-time subsidy for resistance war participants who are awarded Resistance Medals and Medals.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Duong - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs said: "Currently, the Department of Finance has transferred the payment funds to the localities. Starting from the beginning of March, the localities will make direct payments to the beneficiaries."
