More than 38,000 12th grade students in Nghe An take mock high school graduation exam
On April 22, more than 38,000 12th grade students across the province took the mock exam for the 2024-2025 High School Graduation Exam.
The exam is also a survey to assess the year-end quality of 12th grade students in the 2024-2025 school year. In the exam, students participate in 2 compulsory subjects: Math - Literature and elective subjects from the following subjects: History, Geography, Economics and Law, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Foreign Languages, Technology.

This is also the first trial exam on a provincial scale hosted by the Department of Education and Training and organized like a real exam. According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Head of Secondary Education Department, Department of Education and Training, the organization of the exam aims to assess the current situation and orient the adjustment of students' learning activities.
The results of the exam help teachers of schools grasp information, thereby improving the content, methods, and forms of teaching organization that teachers are conducting, in order to adjust teaching activities appropriately and achieve high efficiency.

The representative of the Department of Education and Training also said that this exam will provide educational managers at all levels with necessary information about the current teaching and learning situation in schools and educational units in order to have timely guidance measures, correct any deviations, if any, and encourage and support good initiatives, ensuring the good implementation of educational goals.
With the nature of a real exam, as a rehearsal for the first High School Graduation Exam implemented under the 2018 General Education Program, records at testing sites in Nghe An province show that the organization was carried out seriously and objectively.

At the exam site of Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Vinh City), at exactly 7:30 a.m., all candidates were present at the exam site to take the first exam (Literature). This is one of the two compulsory subjects of the exam.High school graduation examthis year.
Huynh Thuc Khang High School is the testing site with the largest number of candidates, with 870 students, including 36 testing rooms. This testing site has the largest number of students registering for the elective subject English in the province with 676 students, followed by Physics with 390 students. The remaining subjects range from 100 to 200 candidates. The number of candidates registering for Biology is 36 students and for Informatics is 7 students.

At the provincial Ethnic Boarding High School, Literature has been an advantage for many years, so before the mock exam, students have been trained quite a lot. However, due to the special nature of this year's exam, many candidates said that this will be an important test for candidates to self-assess their abilities and the pressure is not small.
Sharing before the exam, Truong Anh Ngan, class 12A2 - Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities, said: Before each exam, I am determined to do well, so I am quite stressed. Currently, I am aiming to enter the University of Commerce. My scores in previous exams were not high, so I think I have to try very hard.

As a Literature teacher, Ms. Phan Thi Bich Ha - Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities in the province said that this year's mock test was quite good, close to the program, close to the review content. Even though the test data was outside the textbook, the writer Do Bich Thuy is a familiar author so the students have reviewed it quite thoroughly.
Previously, students of the provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities had taken the test 6 times, so teachers believed that the students had been well trained in both skills and test-taking psychology.

According to the plan of the Department of Education and Training, after this trial exam, candidates will have another trial exam on May 15 and 16. In addition, students can take the test themselves on the LMS system of the Department of Education and Training.
The exams will help students practice test-taking skills, self-assess their abilities to supplement necessary knowledge, and choose appropriate subjects and exam blocks.
