This morning (November 29), in Hanoi, the Office of the Central Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention met to discuss solutions to respond to storm No. 4.

At the meeting, the representative of the Central Hydrometeorological Forecasting Center said: from 7 to 10 pm tonight, storm No. 4 will make landfall in the provinces of Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa, in which Phu Yen is forecast to be the center of the storm when it makes landfall. The main content given at the meeting is that localities urgently complete the work of calling for ships and responding to the storm at sea before 5 pm this afternoon; ensure the safety of dams to prevent heavy rain caused by the storm circulation.

This morning, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development - Head of the Central Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention Cao Duc Phat directly inspected, urged and directed storm response work in Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces.

Up to now, the Coast Guard of provinces and cities from Da Nang to Ca Mau has coordinated with local authorities and ship owners' families to notify, count and guide more than 48,000 vehicles, with nearly 266,000 people to know the storm's developments so that they can proactively take precautions.
