More than 5 tons of fat and rotten meat passed through many provinces.

5.5 tons of 'dirty' fat and meat were transported from Hanoi through many provinces, and when they arrived in Ha Tinh, they were discovered and seized by the provincial authorities.

At around 9:00 a.m. this morning (November 21), while patrolling and controlling the Ha Tinh city bypass (section through Thach Long commune, Thach Ha district), Market Management Team No. 2 (Ha Tinh) coordinated with the Special Task Force of Ha Tinh Provincial Police to inspect a container truck with license plate 51R - 17659 traveling from North to South.

When stopping the car for inspection, the authorities detected a foul smell coming from the trunk.

During the counting, the authorities discovered 110 foam boxes containing rotten meat and animal fat, weighing up to 5.5 tons without legal documents.

The driver was identified as Le Cao Tien (residing in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province). Through investigation, Tien said that he received the meat and animal fat from a stranger in the North, and it is unclear who the owner was.

While transporting these goods to the Central provinces for consumption, they were discovered and arrested.

Mr. Truong Cong Huy, Captain of Market Management Team No. 2 (Ha Tinh) said: “When stopping the vehicle for inspection, driver Le Cao Tien approached the working group to ask to “take the law”. The working group warned the driver about the bribery, resolutely took the vehicle and goods back to make a record, and strictly handled according to regulations.

According to Mr. Huy, the authorities have drawn up a record and handled the case according to the law.
