More than 500 Vietnamese workers from Libya prepare to return home

The Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt announced on the evening of August 3 that it is expected that at 4:00 p.m. on August 4, local time, or 8:00 p.m. tonight Hanoi time, 28 Vietnamese workers working in Libya will arrive at the Salloum border gate to enter Egypt. These workers belong to two units: Vinaconexmex and Simco Song Da.

According to the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt, the Vietnamese representative agency has developed a detailed plan related to welcoming and receiving workers, as well as logistics to ensure accommodation for workers during their stay in Egypt.

Early this morning, August 4, a special delegation from the Embassy set off for Salloum border gate, about 650 km west of Cairo, to welcome the workers.

Immediately after the workers' entry procedures into Egypt are completed, the working group will take the workers to Cairo by road with prepared vehicles and take them from Cairo to Salloum.

In a related development, tomorrow, August 5, the Korean company Hyundai Amco will organize the first flight in a plan to bring 682 Vietnamese workers from Libya to Egypt, then fly back to Vietnam.
