More than one million candidates registered for the national high school exam.

Of these, over 279,000 students only take the exam for graduation, and over 132,500 students take the exam for university admission.
The number of candidates taking the exam for both purposes is the majority with nearly 593,000 students.
By subject, the subject most registered by candidates is Math with nearly 959,300 students, followed by Literature with more than 937,300 students, and Foreign Language with more than 743,000 students.
The number of candidates registering for other subjects is lower. Nearly 471,000 candidates registered for Physics, more than 459,300 for Chemistry, nearly 387,000 for Geography, more than 283,000 for Biology, and nearly 153,700 for History.
This is the statistical data of the Department of Testing and Quality Assurance, Ministry of Education and Training. The candidate data of each cluster was transferred to the clusters yesterday, May 20.
The national high school exam will take place from July 1 to 4 with 8 subjects.
Candidates for graduation recognition will have to take at least four subjects, including three compulsory subjects: Math, Literature, Foreign Language, and one subject chosen by the candidate from the remaining subjects.
Candidates for university entrance exams choose subjects corresponding to the admission requirements of the colleges and universities they apply to./
