Compared to the old version, the front of the new Civic has been redesigned to be more attractive and sporty; the grille has also been redesigned from a 3-bar style to a honeycomb style. The air vents also create a highlight for the front of the car with the addition of a chrome trim. The car's cockpit space is different with a "smart interface" approach that does not distract the driver's concentration.

The new Civic version still inherits the breakthrough features of the 9th generation Civic, including the intelligent multi-information display system (i-MID) and the ECO Assist fuel-saving driving support system, including the Econ Mode fuel-saving driving mode and the Eco coaching color-display fuel-saving driving guidance function; the hands-free voice mode (HFT) is also integrated on the steering wheel.

In particular, the car is equipped with a Sygic navigation and positioning system that provides voice guidance, determines routes through as many intermediate points as desired, has the ability to search for each house number, traffic warnings, offline maps and detailed map data for 63 provinces and cities nationwide. Hands-free mode (HFT) is also integrated on the steering wheel, allowing customers to receive and hang up calls without having to pick up the phone.

Adding safety features to the new Civic version is a rear camera displaying 3 angles (version 2.0) along with other safety features such as anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic balance assist (VSA), electronic brake force distribution system (EBD), emergency brake assist (BA).

The new Civic version still uses 2 types of gasoline engines with 5-speed automatic transmission, including the 1.8 engine with a capacity of 139 horsepower at 6,500 rpm, maximum torque of 174Nm at 4,300 rpm and the 2.0 engine with a maximum capacity of 153 horsepower at 6,500 rpm, maximum torque of 190Nm at 4,300 rpm. In addition, the Civic engine with a single camshaft SOHC helps the car to minimize fuel consumption.

In the Vietnamese market, since the launch of the 9th generation in August 2012, nearly 1,800 Civics have been delivered to customers, bringing the total number of Civics sold from the first day to the end of October 2014 to nearly 20,000./.
