Honda Civic Si 2017 officially on sale

The high-performance Civic Si sedan and coupe versions have just officially hit the market with higher performance and better handling than the standard version.

Honda has officially launched the 2017 Civic Si coupe and sedan versions. Both will be sold with prices starting at $23,900, which is a bit lower than the most "state-of-the-art" high-performance version of the Civic, the Type-R. The Civic Type-R is expected to be launched later this year and go on sale early next year. Currently, the Civic Si will come with equipment such as a dual-zone climate control system, heated front seats, and an electronic parking brake. The entertainment system fully supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Of course, power is still the most notable point of the Civic Si when it owns a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 205 horsepower, 260 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual transmission. In addition to the engine, the car has an upgraded steering system with a variable gear ratio VGRS, a lighter and more solid chassis with new adaptive shock absorbers. Thanks to that, not only adapting to the new power, both the Civic Si sedan and coupe are lighter than the standard version. In which, the sedan is 43 kg lighter, the coupe is 51 kg lighter.

In Vietnam, the new generation Civic has been sold by Honda since the beginning of this year and has received a lot of positive feedback thanks to the changes in both design and equipment. The biggest barrier for Vietnamese customers to come to the 10th generation of Civic is the price of 950 million VND. Currently, only the Civic Turbo is sold, most likely the higher performance version, Civic Si, will not reach the market.
