Honda launches small, affordable SUV
The small SUV model developed on the Fit chassis, the Honda XR-V, has just been officially launched at the Chengdu Auto Show, China with a starting price equivalent to only 16,000 USD.
In fact, the Honda XR-V is the Chinese version of the compact SUV called the Honda Vezel in Japan or the Honda HR-V in North America. The car is manufactured by the Dongfeng-Honda joint venture. However, the Honda Vezel is also manufactured in China by another Honda joint venture there - the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture. That means that in China there will be one car with two different names, manufactured by two different companies.
