Meeting of the editorial board of the draft amendment to the 1992 Constitution
On December 7, in Hanoi, the Editorial Board of the draft amendment to the 1992 Constitution held its 6th plenary session. Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu attended the meeting.

In his opening speech, Mr. Phan Trung Ly, member of the 1992 Constitution Amendment Drafting Committee, Chairman of the Law Committee, and Head of the Editorial Board, emphasized that at the 4th session of the 13th National Assembly, delegates spent two days discussing the draft amendment to the 1992 Constitution.
In general, the National Assembly delegates basically agreed with the contents of the Draft Constitution Amendment Draft submitted by the Editorial Board. The National Assembly delegates said that the draft reflected the Party's Platform, met the requirements of the National Assembly Resolution, and at the same time ensured the content of the conclusion of the Central Resolution 5 on amending the 1992 Constitution...
This session will discuss the contents and options that still have different opinions from National Assembly deputies; propose appropriate options to complete the draft amendment to the 1992 Constitution.
At the meeting, the Editorial Board of the draft amendment to the 1992 Constitution will discuss the contents that still have different opinions such as: the name and structure of the Constitution; Chapter I: Political regime; Chapter II: Human rights, basic rights and obligations of citizens.
The editorial board will also discuss and give opinions on the proposed amendments and supplements to the following contents: Economy, culture, society, science, technology and environment in Chapter III; Protection of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Chapter IV; State apparatus organization (on control of state power, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the People's Court, the People's Procuracy, local authorities, independent constitutional agencies) and the Constitutional amendment process (Chapter XI).../.
