Meeting to discuss preparations for the conference to review 3 years of implementing Directive 06/CT-TTg
This morning, November 9, in Vinh City, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a meeting to deploy preparations for the conference to review 3 years of implementing Directive 06/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on "Promoting the role of prestigious people among ethnic minorities in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland" and to meet and commend village elders and prestigious people who "do many good deeds" among ethnic minorities in the province (2009-2011 period).
(Baonghean) -This morning, November 9, in Vinh City, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a meeting to deploy preparations for the conference to review 3 years of implementing Directive 06/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on "Promoting the role of prestigious people among ethnic minorities in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland" and to meet and commend village elders and prestigious people who "do many good deeds" among ethnic minorities in the province (2009-2011 period).
After hearing about the conference program, plan and draft report on the 3-year implementation of Directive 06/CT-TTg and meeting to commend village elders and prestigious people who “did many good deeds” among ethnic minorities in Nghe An province (2009-2011), the delegates highly agreed with the program and plan of the organizing subcommittee. At the same time, they contributed ideas to prepare well in terms of human resources, materials, logistics, security, and health care to ensure the health of the delegates; and coordinated with press agencies to promote the propaganda work for the conference.
The conference is expected to be held on November 22 and 23, 2011 in Vinh City. On this occasion, 74 delegates who are village elders and prestigious people (belonging to the following ethnic groups: Kho Mu, Mong, Thai, Tho, Tay Poong, O Du, Hoa, Nung, Dan Lai) and 14 collectives were commended and awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial People's Committee. These are typical ethnic minorities with many positive actions in the community such as: mobilizing people to develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty; no illegal immigration; good implementation of family planning policies; no opium cultivation and trading; building cultural villages; encouraging learning families; preserving traditional culture; protecting border markers...
