Meeting of the Organizing Committee to Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of Nghe An Armed Forces

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 10, the Provincial Military Command held a meeting to organize activities to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Nghe An Provincial Armed Forces (August 21, 1945 - 2015).

Attending the meeting were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Nghe An Newspaper, and the provincial Radio and Television Station. Colonel Ha Tan Tien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command chaired the meeting.

Comrade Ha Tan Tien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Head of the Organizing Committee of the anniversary ceremony requested Nghe An Newspaper and the provincial Radio and Television Station to step up propaganda work on publications from now until the anniversary ceremony.

Organizing activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the provincial armed forces' tradition day to widely propagate and educate the people and armed forces, especially the young generation, about the glorious 70-year history of building, fighting and growing of Nghe An's armed forces.

Thereby, arousing pride and efforts to promote the glorious tradition of the provincial armed forces, heightening the determination of cadres, soldiers and people of all walks of life towards the task of building a strong national defense, building a national defense posture associated with a solid people's security posture, building the army in general and the provincial armed forces to be disciplined, elite, and gradually modernized, meeting the requirements of the task of building and protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the new situation.

Comrade Luong Hong Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command emphasized the importance of press agencies in propaganda work for the Anniversary Ceremony.

At the meeting, delegates identified this as an activity of profound political significance for the entire Party, people and army. In order for the propaganda work before, during and after the celebration to be highly effective, the Provincial Military Command hopes that Nghe An Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station will pay attention to publishing and reporting on outstanding activities of agencies and units towards celebrating the Anniversary of the Provincial Armed Forces (in both printed and electronic newspapers, clippings, reportage...). Nghe An Newspaper will issue a special issue to celebrate the anniversary, released on August 20, 2015.

Comrade Ho Thi Ngan - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper requested the Provincial Military Command to coordinate in providing information so that Nghe An Newspaper can achieve the highest propaganda effectiveness.

On the occasion of the anniversary, the Provincial Military Command will organize activities such as offering incense and flowers to report to Uncle Ho at Ho Chi Minh Square - Vinh City, Kim Lien - Nam Dan; visiting and giving gifts to policy families and localities where the Provincial Military Command was stationed./.
