Meeting to discuss the draft on building e-government in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 26 in Vinh City, the Provincial People's Committee worked with FPT Information System Company - FPT Group to discuss the draft Project "Building Nghe An e-Government in the period 2013-2015".

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting. Attending were Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of relevant departments, agencies, units and leaders of FPT Corporation.

Building e-government is an inevitable trend for the government to improve the quality of its management, promotion and investment attraction, and tourism trade development; enhance transparency, improve the policy environment, promote and provide diverse and quick information to serve investors, businesses and tourists at a high level. The draft content of the Project "Building Nghe An e-government" is implemented in 3 steps, including operational applications to form databases; suitable infrastructure, integration and exploitation of databases, interconnecting applications connecting agencies and units; providing online public services at levels 3 and 4 for people and businesses.

At the conference, representatives of FPT Information System Company analyzed and explained some questions of the delegates, and at the same time absorbed and added to the content of the Project to make it more complete.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong highly appreciated the content of the Project. In recent years, the application of IT-TT in Nghe An has made great strides, and the IT-TT infrastructure has been focused on investment and construction. This is an important basis for the province to implement the Project on Building e-Government to create a breakthrough in administrative reform; for the government to improve the quality of direction and administration, promote and attract investment. And especially to build Nghe An into an industrial province and an economic, cultural and high-tech center of the North Central region in the spirit of Resolution 26 of the Politburo. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Information and Communications to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and FPT to organize a meeting to review the content of the draft Project, thereby adjusting and supplementing to complete the preparation for the next working program.
