Vietnam-Japan defense cooperation develops well

On the afternoon of June 3, in Hanoi, Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, received Mr. Nobushige Takamizawa, Director of the Institute for Defense Studies, Ministry of Defense of Japan, who is on a working visit to Vietnam.

On behalf of the leaders of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan congratulated the delegation of the Defense Research Institute, Ministry of Defense of Japan, on their visit to work and exchange experiences at the National Defense Academy; Institute of Defense Strategy and Institute of International Defense Relations.

Mr. Nobushige Takamizawa thanked Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan for taking the time to receive and work with the delegation, and at the same time, informed the working results between the delegation of the Institute of Defense Studies, Ministry of Defense of Japan and the National Defense Academy; Institute of International Defense Relations; Vietnam Institute of Defense Strategy.

At the meeting, the two sides reviewed the good traditional relationship between Vietnam and Japan over the past 40 years, affirming that defense cooperation between the two countries has developed well in recent years.

In the coming time, both Vietnam and Japan hope to promote defense cooperation; increase delegation exchanges to learn from each other's experiences; cooperate in training officials and many other areas of mutual interest./.
