(Baonghean.vn) - In 2013, Mr. Bui Anh Dan from Thai Binh brought his incense stick processing business to Que Son commune, Que Phong district to start a business. Here, he and 19 villagers established the Que Son bamboo processing cooperative.

After 4 years of operation, the cooperative has attracted hundreds of workers: 70 people specializing in exploiting raw materials, 40 people specializing in splitting bamboo, 30 people operating machines...

Every day, the cooperative processes 3-5 tons of fresh bamboo and produces 500-700 quintals of products. Every month, the cooperative exports 3 shipments of 18-20 tons each. The cooperative's products are purchased by businesses and exported to the Indian market. Due to ensuring technical processes and bamboo quality, the cooperative's products are well received by the market. All products are sold as soon as they are produced.

Due to the promotion of production, the life of workers is increasingly improved, workers' income reaches from 2 to 7 million VND/month. This is a model that needs to be replicated in mountainous areas to solve employment for workers in order to achieve the goal of hunger eradication and poverty reduction for people.
