Training in speedboat driving skills for search and rescue operations

(Baonghean) -On the morning of July 21, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command closed a training course on high-speed boat drivers serving flood and storm prevention and search and rescue work.

During 18 days, 140 comrades who are officers of the provincial military command and its affiliated units, the provincial police force; the Dike Sub-Department and militia and self-defense forces of key units were studied and trained in skills and techniques of driving high-speed boats; and search and rescue methods.

For localities that often experience natural disasters like Nghe An, the training course on high-speed boat driving skills is one of the necessary conditions for forces to carry out rescue work more effectively when natural disasters occur. The test results show that 100% of students meet the requirements, of which 87% are good or excellent, 100% of students are granted high-speed boat driving certificates, which serve as the basis for testing and granting of high-speed boat driving licenses organized by the Provincial Military Command in coordination with the Viet Duc Vocational College in 2012.
