Coach Park Hang-seo writes farewell letter to Vietnamese football

The 2022 AFF Cup ends, which is also the time when the Korean strategist will also say goodbye to the Vietnamese team. Before the important tournament, the Korean coach wrote a letter to individuals and groups that have influenced his career in Vietnam.

Opening Coach Park Hang-seo emotionally shared: "Hello, in the past time, I have spent a lot of time meeting with the coaching staff, checking each player and preparing for the upcoming AFF Cup 2022. It is hard to believe that this tournament will be the last time I lead the Vietnam national team. The beautiful memories of the past 5 years with the team come flooding back to me. I cherish every moment and through this letter, I want to send my gratitude to those who have helped me throughout the past time. There are many individuals and groups that I want to thank, those who have accompanied me on this journey and those behind the scenes. The letter will be quite long because I want to mention each person's name, but I feel I have to do so to express my sincerity. Words may not be enough to express my heart but I hope that everyone will feel this sincerity".

Coach Park Hang-seoalso thanked the Vietnamese fans who supported, followed, and cheered for the team throughout the journey.

"First of all, I would like to send my greetings to all the people and football fans of Vietnam. You have been my biggest supporters over the past 5 years. Your enthusiastic support has been the greatest source of encouragement for each individual in the Vietnam team during the difficult and stressful period. You have helped me and the team to become better every day, through each tournament. As the head coach of the national team, I would like to send my most sincere thanks to all Vietnamese football fans.

I would like to thank President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and all members of the Government for their financial and administrative support. I understand how difficult it is to invest in football at the Government level. This is not an easy task to request, but the President and the Government of Vietnam have always supported us as much as possible."

In addition, the captain sent his thanks to the support from the Vietnam Football Federation. Along with that, the clubs in V.League, First Division have understood and sacrificed their forces so that the Vietnam team has full numbers, aiming towards the common goal of Vietnamese football.

Personally, Coach Park Hang-seo especially sent his thanks to Mr. Duc.

"Personally, I would like to send special thanks to Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc, Chairman of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group. He played an important role in my decision to work in Vietnam. I am grateful for his constant encouragement during my time working in Vietnam.

I cannot hide my emotions when looking back on my 5-year journey in Vietnam, but now is the time to put my emotions aside and put on the Vietnamese warrior shirt. I call for your support and encouragement for the Vietnamese national team in the upcoming tournament. See you again on the field," Coach Park Hang-seo concluded the letter./.
