Analyzing further the playing style of U23 Vietnam, coach Philippe Troussier said: “I tried to help the team win. After 10 minutes, the team was unbalanced, especially in the right-back position. After 20 minutes, I told Ho Van Cuong to warm up. Everyone tried their best. In the second half, the presence of Ho Van Cuong brought balance. We focused on the two wings because that was the opponent's weakness.
During halftime, I encouraged and reminded the players to exploit the opponent's weaknesses. In the second half, many dangerous situations were created in the two wing areas.
