Having just carried the rice ashore, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trieu - Hamlet 6, Hung Chau Commune, happily said: In the 2011-2012 Winter-Spring crop, my family planted 5 sao of pure rice, achieving a yield of 3 quintals/sao, harvesting a total of 15 quintals of rice. This season the weather is sunny, the harvested rice is fragrant in the sun, my family stores it for eating. Although production was difficult at the beginning of the season due to prolonged cold, many households had to replant, but at the end of the season there was still a good harvest, everyone in the commune was happy.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quyen - Chairman of Hung Chau Commune People's Committee, said: In the 2011-2012 Winter-Spring crop, the whole Hung Chau commune produced 200 hectares of rice, currently people have harvested about 50% of the area, with an average yield of 6 tons/ha. For Hung Chau, this Winter-Spring crop is a complete bumper crop. Because of the characteristics of Hung Chau commune, it is a low-lying area, so agricultural production is not as favorable as in other localities. In the commune, there is the largest pumping station of Hung Nguyen district (Hung Chau commune electric pumping station), but when drought occurs, Hung Chau is the commune with the most difficulty in water resources because this pumping station is located at the end of the source. At the same time, when flooding occurs, it is the first to be flooded. Therefore, in difficult production conditions, the early season is cold for a long time, and when the rice is developing and flowering, it seems difficult to achieve the desired yield, but the joy comes unexpectedly. The Winter-Spring rice crop is a bumper crop in the anxiety of farmers. Thank God for not letting down the hard workers in the fields…
