(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 2, the Women's Union of Hung Nguyen district held a conference to commend typical and advanced women in the period 2010 - 2015 and deploy tasks for 2015.

Implementing the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation", in recent years, the District Women's Union has mobilized cadres and members to effectively carry out the emulation movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families" associated with the movement of the Party Committee and people of Hung Nguyen joining hands to build "new rural areas" and the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's", educating the qualities of Vietnamese women "Confidence - Self-respect - Loyalty - Responsibility".

In the field of economic development, the District Women's Union has mobilized cadres and members to actively change the structure of crops and livestock, apply scientific and technical advances to intensive farming to increase crop productivity. Build 23 fields according to the "Skilled People's Mobilization" model; maintain and develop existing occupations, introduce new occupations to the locality to create jobs and increase income for workers.

Responding to the movement "Hung Nguyen Party Committee and people join hands to build new rural areas", the Women's Union of the district and communes and towns mobilized cadres and members to donate 110,000 m2 of land, contribute 5.8 billion VND, and participate in nearly 20,000 working days. In the field of poverty reduction, women's associations at all levels in the district have built the model "Women help each other develop the economy, eliminate poverty with addresses" and the movement "Mutual love and affection".

Since 2010, 90% of poor member households have been helped by transferring scientific and technical advances, supporting loans, and providing guidance on economic knowledge. Responding to the Nghe An Women's movement to follow Uncle Ho's teachings and practice saving to help each other sustainably reduce poverty, the District Women's Union has directed communes and towns to establish savings groups at branches, groups, and associations. Up to now, the whole district has established 104 savings groups, with a savings amount of 4.5 billion VND for 5,134 members to borrow; the movement to build "Warm Houses of Love" was widely launched with the target of 5,000 VND/member/year, earning 1.5 billion VND to build 45 new houses, 2 breeding cows for women in difficult circumstances and repairing 106 works.

On this occasion, the District Women's Union presented gifts to 28 individuals with outstanding achievements in the women's movement and Union activities.
