(Baonghean.vn) - On May 12, Hung Nguyen Farmers' Association held a conference on typical advanced models in the period 2010-2015.

Over the past 5 years, Hung Nguyen Farmers' Association has launched many movements for farmers to compete in production and business, unite to help each other eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, promote internal and external resources, exploit the potential strengths of each region and locality, create a combined strength, strengthen the great solidarity bloc, contribute to transforming the economic structure, contributing to transforming the economic structure of agriculture and rural areas towards industrialization and modernization.

The district currently has over 3,856 farmer households achieving the title of Good Farmer in Production and Business at 3 levels, many of whom have new thinking, creative and effective ways of investing in production and business. Currently, the district has 320 farm and family economic households with an income of over 100 million VND/year. The Association has well implemented the capital entrusted to the Social Policy Bank for 2,612 households to borrow from farmer members to develop their economy, with a total outstanding debt of over 51.7 billion VND.

Responding to the rural construction movement, the Association at all levels has contributed more than 106 billion VND, 92,288 working days and nearly 20,000 m2 of land to build works and expand traffic roads and intra-field roads. Through emulation movements, the Association at all levels has been consolidated and developed, the content and methods of operation have been innovated, meeting the requirements and legitimate interests of farmer members, the Association's staff is close to the people, cares about the legitimate interests of farmer members, attracting more and more farmers to the Association.

With that result, in 5 years, 299 members and groups were awarded Certificates of Merit and Certificates of Merit, of which 4 groups and 3 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Central Association. The conference also proposed 6 groups of solutions and specific goals for the period 2015-2020, striving to have 90% of establishments classified as good, no weak branches, good farmers and businessmen increase by 10-15%, each establishment undertakes to help at least 1 household escape poverty. Every year, 2-3 typical models are built at each association establishment.

On this occasion, 46 association officials and farmers with outstanding achievements were recognized as typical examples in various fields.
