Hung Nguyen: The 3rd Congress to commend the learning promotion movement
(Baonghean.vn)On the morning of November 9, Hung Nguyen District Association for the Promotion of Education organized the 3rd Congress to honor studious families, studious clans and learning-enhancing communities. Attending the Congress were 180 official delegates representing thousands of members of the association for the promotion of education in the district.
In the past 5 years, the movement to encourage learning and talent in Hung Nguyen has developed strongly and received attention from each family, clan and the care of the whole society. Up to now, the whole district has 14,765 studious families; 514 studious clans and 194 learning promotion communities. In families, clans, agencies and units, there are funds to encourage learning and activities to encourage children to excel in their studies. From 2007 to now, the learning promotion associations at all levels have spent nearly 3.2 billion VND to reward teachers, students and university students with high results in teaching and learning and awarded scholarships to poor students who overcome difficulties. Thanks to that, the number of excellent students has increased continuously. From 2009 to now, the whole district has 25 national excellent students, 235 provincial excellent students; 1,835 district excellent students and nearly 3,000 students passed the university and college entrance exams.

The congress commended 23 studious families, 23 learning promotion clans, and 23 exemplary learning promotion communities; elected 5 delegates to attend the congress to commend 3 provincial-level learning promotion movements.
On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education awarded commemorative medals to four individuals with many contributions to the work of promoting education.
