From the practice of successfully organizing the construction of many model fields for effective production of commodity rice in previous years and continuing to accelerate the conversion of crop structure towards commodity production, in the spring crop of 2014, the District People's Committee continued to direct the construction of 10 large-scale model fields in 10 communes and towns, with a total area of ​​55.5 hectares. In which, the rice varieties deployed include CXT30, TL6, Nghi Huong 2308, Thinh Du 1, Kinh So Uu, AC5, BTE1, Nang Xuan.... Accordingly, the district has issued a number of policies to support funding for a number of communes to focus on investing in a number of key models, building model fields and expanding model fields to help farmers access new intensive technical processes in commodity rice production, gradually moving towards joint ventures and partnerships with enterprises that consume products, improving economic efficiency per unit area, contributing to increasing income for people.

The field conference clearly showed the effectiveness of the model field. Specifically, the effectiveness of new hybrid rice varieties increased from 23 - 32% compared to the control, reaching a yield of 77 - 80 quintals/ha; the model of new pure rice varieties increased from 10 - 18% compared to the control, with high-quality pure rice estimated at 63 - 76 quintals/ha. From this success, Hung Nguyen will continue to direct the expansion of the area in the following production seasons.
