Overview of the conference |
At the workshop, delegates made some forecasts of factors affecting the 2015 Spring crop production such as weather conditions, diseases, of which the most notable is the drought situation due to the lack of floods and rat damage this year, on that basis, proactively cope with and select appropriate crop and livestock structures. Delegates also highly agreed with the district's Spring crop production plan with a total planting area of 7,200 hectares of main crops, of which the area of food crops is 6,100 hectares. Food output strives to reach nearly 38,000 tons.
The new feature of the 2015 Spring crop in Hung Nguyen is to focus on drastically directing the conversion of crop structure towards commodity production; requiring each locality to build at least one concentrated commodity rice production field with a large scale of 15 to 30 hectares. Prioritizing the use of high-quality pure rice varieties, such as: AC5, Nang Xuan; Thien Huong; GS333;...; along with that, resolutely eliminating long-term, low-yield, poor-quality rice varieties and minimizing the early spring area. The district also advocates creating all favorable conditions for enterprises to proactively cooperate with agricultural cooperatives in communes to invest in production and consume products for farmers.
