Hung Nguyen: Competition for Excellent Veterans Association Presidents

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 15, 2014, the Veterans Association of Hung Nguyen district organized the first competition for excellent veteran branch leaders in 2014.

Attending the contest were representatives of the District Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairmen of the War Veterans Associations of communes and towns, members who came to watch and cheer for the contestants and 23 branch presidents from 23 communes and towns who were preliminarily selected from the grassroots.

Contestants must go through 3 main competitions: Greeting, Question and Answer, Writing; In addition, the Organizing Committee encourages contestants to show their talents to get extra points. The Organizing Committee will award 1 first prize worth 400,000 VND, 1 second prize worth 300,000 VND, 1 third prize worth 200,000 VND and 20 consolation prizes.

Through this competition, the Branch Presidents will improve their awareness of politics and professional work of the Veterans Association. At the same time, the Branch Presidents will have the opportunity to exchange and learn from each other about their experiences in order to perform well the role of a Branch President in protecting the Party and the government, and at the same time coordinate well with other sectors to perform well the tasks of socio-economic development, maintain national defense and security, build the Party, build the political system in the area, contributing to the good implementation of the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels./.
