Hung Nguyen: Scholarship fund at all levels reaches nearly 8 billion VND

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 23, the Hung Nguyen District Association for the Promotion of Education held its third congress for the 2014-2019 term.

Attending the congress were comrade Le Thai Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education, comrade Hoang Van Phi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council, and delegates representing studious families, studious clans and the learning promotion community in the district.

Over the past 5 years, the movement to encourage learning, encourage talents, and build a learning society in Hung Nguyen district has developed extensively and comprehensively, attracting the participation of many classes of people, gradually building awareness of regular learning and lifelong learning for cadres and people. The district's learning promotion organizations have developed rapidly from the district to the clan, village, and hamlet levels, and their activities have been uniform and of high quality.

Overview of the congress

Up to now, the district has 33 Learning Promotion Associations of communes and towns; 315 hamlet, agency and school branches; 502 clan learning promotion committees with a total of 20,000 members. Activities to encourage and support education and build a learning society have been strongly implemented by all levels of the association. The movements "Family of learning", "Family of learning", "Commune, town of learning promotion", "Block, hamlet of learning promotion", "Agency, unit of learning promotion", "Tet of learning promotion", "Month of learning promotion", or the movements "Drum of learning promotion", "Opening the pen at the beginning of spring", or the movements "Drum of learning promotion", "Opening the pen at the beginning of spring" ... have actively contributed to the campaign "building a learning society". The above emulation movements are maintained regularly, serving as a driving force to promote learning and talent promotion activities, building a learning society in the district. The movement to mobilize funds for education promotion has become a routine, regularly included in the village, clan, agency and enterprise covenants. The education promotion fund at all levels in the district has reached over 7.9 billion VND, creating a source of funds to reward and encourage individuals, families, clans and communities with high achievements in learning. It is from the kind hearts of benefactors that have helped, encouraged and motivated teachers and students to overcome difficulties and strive to teach and study, contributing to the overall achievements in the 5 years from 2009 to 2014. The district had 14 national excellent students, 708 provincial excellent students, 3,196 district excellent students, 4,294 students passing university and college entrance exams; 240 district excellent teachers, 215 provincial excellent teachers.

In the 3rd Congress, term 2014-2019, which is a congress of solidarity, innovation, discipline, inheritance and development, Hung Nguyen Association strives for 80% of the Commune and Town Learning Promotion Associations to achieve the emulation title of good or better, 90% of agencies, units and schools have organized Learning Promotion Associations, of which 70% of units achieve the emulation title of good or better; 85% of the clans and families in Hung Nguyen are studious families, studious clans, of which 60% achieve the emulation title of good or better; develop Association members to reach 20% compared to the population (increase 1% each year); the learning promotion fund is available at most Association levels, striving to reach an average of 18-20,000 VND/person/year;

The Congress elected the 3rd Executive Committee of the District Education Promotion Association for the 2014-2019 term, consisting of 27 comrades.
