Attending the meeting were comrade Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Head of the Provincial Economic - Budget Committee.

At the 6th session, the District People's Council spent a lot of time evaluating and analyzing the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development, national defense and security targets in the first 6 months of the year; tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2013; reviewing the direction and administration of the District People's Committee; the situation of the staff and civil servants at the commune level... Despite the general difficult conditions, under the leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the administration of the government, departments and organizations from the district to the grassroots level, the socio-economic situation of Hung Nguyen continued to change. The economic growth rate reached 5.9%; The value of agricultural, industrial and service production increased compared to the same period; Budget revenue was 248.47 billion VND, reaching 60.5% of the estimate assigned by the province.
Besides, there are still limitations and shortcomings in the economic, cultural and social fields that need to be focused on and strived for in the last 6 months of 2013.
The District People's Council meeting took place on July 19 and 20. At this meeting, the District People's Council will conduct a vote of confidence for positions elected and approved by the District People's Council; consider and pass 6 resolutions related to socio-economics, national defense and security, notably the resolution approving the project to resolve the surplus and shortage of teachers and service staff and granting financial autonomy to schools managed by Hung Nguyen district.
