(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 24, 2014, Hung Nguyen District Police coordinated with the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee and related sectors to organize a conference to build a model of "All people join hands to build a safe residential area in terms of security and order" in hamlet 8, Hung Linh commune. Attending the conference were Colonel Bui Van Ngan, Head of PV28 Department, representatives of the Provincial Police Department, Mr. Hoang Van Phi - Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council, representatives of district-level sectors and a large number of people in Hung Linh commune.

Overview of the conference

Hamlet 8, Hung Linh commune has 125 households, 721 people, and a party cell with 38 members. Through understanding the situation, there are 5-6 drug addicts in the area, the number of new addicts or followers is up to more than 20 people; the theft of geese, chickens, ducks..., gambling is quite common; in the evenings, young people often gather in groups to play until late at night, affecting the general peace and causing insecurity and disorder.

Faced with that situation, Hung Nguyen District Police advised the Party Committee to issue Official Dispatch No. 941-CV/HU dated August 29, 2014 of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee on strengthening the work of preventing social evils in Hung Linh commune, and at the same time established a special working group of 7 comrades to directly fight crime in Hung Linh commune. Initial results: arrested 3 cases, 10 subjects gambling in hamlets 5B, 5A, confiscated 760,000 VND (the subjects were handled according to regulations); arrested 01 case, 03 subjects illegally storing drugs and 02 subjects illegally trading drugs, confiscated 2.83g of heroin, 02 motorbikes, 03 mobile phones; arrested 02 cases, confiscated 06 electric shock devices that destroy the environment; organized the summoning and questioning of 10 subjects, brought 03 subjects who stole chickens and ducks to the public for criticism...; created 03 files to send people to the drug rehabilitation center; coordinated with the Traffic Police to patrol and handle 30 violations; discovered and arrested 06 illegal sand dredging machines along the Lam River in the areas of Hung Linh, Hung Long and Hung Xa communes, imposed an administrative fine of 24 million VND to the State Treasury. The Women's Union and the Youth Union organized communication sessions on the security and order situation, attracting a large number of people in Hamlet 8 to attend.

At the meeting, the district police leaders answered questions and propagated the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and local regulations on the rights and obligations of people in the field of security and order.
