Hung Nguyen: Summary of the movement of farmers competing in good production and business

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 16, the Farmers' Association of Hung Nguyen district held a conference to summarize the emulation movement of farmers in good production and business in the period 2012-2014 and deploy tasks for the period 2014-2016.

Hung Nguyen district has 20,964 farming households with 53,984 agricultural workers. Of which, 69.2% are direct agricultural workers with 17,852 members. Up to now, the whole district has 9,098 farming households registered for good production and business, an increase of 40% compared to 2011; 3,658 households have been recognized as good production and business households at all levels, an increase of 48% compared to the beginning of the term. There are 10 good production and business households at the central level, 12 at the provincial level, 417 at the district level and 3,317 at the grassroots level. The communes of Hung Dao, Hung Tan, Town, Hung Tay, Hung Loi... have many households recognized as good production and business households.

By the end of the 2012-2014 term, Hung Nguyen district had 320 farm and family economic models, many of which were large-scale, bringing high economic efficiency. In general, during the past term: The district Farmers' Association movement continued to develop widely, increasing rapidly in quantity, scale and efficiency. Thereby, gradually promoting the local economic development process, accelerating economic restructuring, improving production and business efficiency, creating jobs; contributing to the national goal of building new rural areas... 100% of communes and towns have Farmers' Associations with 249 branches, during the term, 17,582 members were admitted, accounting for 85.2% of the total number of Farmers' Associations.

Also on this occasion, the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen district organized a ceremony to honor and award certificates of merit to 24 farmers who are good at production and business. These are typical farmers of the district, with many initiatives and production models that bring high economic efficiency.
