(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 18, Hung Tien commune - Hung Nguyen district solemnly held a ceremony to receive the national standard certificate on New Rural Area.

Entering the construction of the new rural area, the whole Hung Tien commune has only achieved 6/19 criteria. Promoting the heroic tradition, high spirit of internal solidarity in the Party Committee, Government and people, the commune has mobilized 163 billion VND to invest in building the new rural area, of which 70% is contributed by the people. Up to now, the whole commune has completed 19/19 criteria with 39/39 new rural contents, reaching the top of the district's new rural area.

Infrastructure has been invested synchronously and completed. After 3 years, the whole commune has concreted 8 km of main inter-village roads, nearly 14 km of alley roads, 27 km of intra-field roads, and over 15 km of drainage ditches. New kindergartens, commune health stations, offices, multi-functional cultural houses, stadiums, and village cultural houses have been built with a total cost of tens of billions of VND.

In economic development, increasing income for people. The whole commune has planned 3 main production areas: aquaculture area, color area, and original rice production area, with 40/137 combined aquaculture models for high income. The commune has formed hundreds of households trading and providing services, 4 enterprises investing in civil carpentry production lines, creating jobs for hundreds of rural workers. Thanks to that, by the end of 2014, the average income of people reached 22.5 million VND/person/year, an increase of over 3 million VND/person compared to 2012, the rate of poor households decreased to 4.3%, the rate of well-off households increased rapidly.

In the field of culture and society: Currently, 100% of households in the commune have audio-visual equipment, 7/7 hamlets maintain the title of cultural village, 3 primary, kindergarten and secondary schools all meet national standards, 100% of households have sanitary facilities and use tap water for daily life. The security and defense system is comprehensively consolidated.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised the achievements of Hung Tien commune. In the coming time, the commune will continue to build and develop achievements in building high-quality new rural areas; Develop comprehensive socio-economic development, prioritize high-tech agricultural development associated with goods, prioritize services and trade to increase people's income. Build a strong political system, have a strong grassroots cadre team to help people build sustainable new rural areas.
