Guidance for Nghi Thuy (Cua Lo) fishermen on fisheries development policy

(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing Decree 67/2014/ND-CP on a number of policies for fisheries development of the Government, on July 18, a working delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Finance, Vietnam Insurance and the Nghe An Fisheries Sub-Department of Fisheries Economics and Protection surveyed and guided fishermen in Nghi Thuy ward - Cua Lo town on fisheries development policies.

According to the data of the Nghe An Fisheries Sub-Department, Nghi Thuy ward has 176 ships and boats with capacity from 40-450CV, of which 45 ships have capacity of 350-450CV and over 1,000 workers working on fishing boats, to help fishermen access the Government's support policy to build new high-capacity ships, go offshore to exploit seafood; policies to support fishing boat insurance, crew insurance and some other policies.

The working delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Finance, Vietnam Insurance and the Nghe An Sub-Department of Aquatic Resources Exploitation and Protection listened to the thoughts, aspirations and needs of fishermen, to advise and have specific plans to effectively implement Decree 67 of the Government.
