According to Circular 19/2016/TT-BYT, the content of labor hygiene and health management of employees at the workplace is regulated as follows:
1. Content of occupational safety and health management
a) Establish and update labor safety records oflabor base;
b) Monitoring of working environment;
c) Pre-employment health check-ups, periodic health check-ups, occupational disease detection check-ups and periodic occupational disease check-ups;
d) Control, prevent and minimize the effects of harmful factors in the working environment on health;
d) Hygiene to prevent epidemics, ensure food safety, and improve health at the workplace;
e) Ensure compliance with requirements on sanitation and welfare at the workplace.
g) Organize first aid and emergency response forces for occupational accidents at the workplace and ensure first aid and emergency equipment.
Every year, production and business establishments must develop occupational safety and health management and employee health management content in the occupational safety and health plan for the establishment.

2. Requirements for employee health management
Firstly, the management, health care and prevention of occupational diseases for employees must be carried out from the time the employee is recruited and throughout their working time at the workplace.
Second, the arrangement and assignment of jobs must be suitable to the health status of the employee and meet the following requirements:
- Do not assign people with occupational diseases to work in positions that involve contact with harmful factors that cause occupational diseases when exposure to these harmful factors has not been controlled or minimized;
- Restrict the arrangement of employees with chronic diseases to work in positions with harmful factors related to the disease. In case of having to arrange employees with chronic diseases to work in positions with harmful factors related to the disease, the employer must fully explain the harmful factors to the employee's health and can only arrange the work after receiving the employee's written consent.
3. Employee health management records
The labor facility is responsible for establishing management records.workers' health, including: Personal health records of employees; Health and illness management records of all employees working at the workplace.
Employee's personal health record includes:
a) Health certificate or Health examination form before work arrangement for employees exposed to harmful factors causing occupational diseases, employees doing heavy, toxic, dangerous and especially heavy, toxic, dangerous jobs according to current regulations of law;
b) Periodic health check-up book or occupational disease detection health check-up book for employees exposed to harmful factors causing occupational diseases, employees doing heavy, toxic, dangerous and especially heavy, toxic, dangerous jobs according to current regulations of law;
c) Occupational disease records of employees (if any);
d) Hospital discharge papers, sick leave papers or related treatment documents (if any).
