Instructions for implementing regulations on crime reporting
On the afternoon of August 2, in Hanoi, the Ministries of Public Security, National Defense, Finance, Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Supreme People's Procuracy signed a joint Circular guiding the implementation of provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code on receiving and handling denunciations, crime reports, and recommendations for prosecution.

Attending and witnessing the signing ceremony were General Tran Dai Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Party Central Committee member, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy and representatives of the leaders of the Ministries of National Defense, Finance, Agriculture and Rural Development.
The Joint Circular guiding the implementation of the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code on receiving and handling denunciations, crime reports and recommendations for prosecution is built on the viewpoints of ensuring compliance with the provisions of the 2003 Criminal Procedure Code; ensuring consistency, uniformity and compliance with other relevant legal provisions.
The Circular provides guidance on the implementation of specific and detailed provisions of the 2003 Criminal Procedure Code related to the reception, handling and supervision of the handling of denunciations and reports of crimes and recommendations for prosecution, creating convenience for agencies, organizations and individuals in denouncing and providing information on crimes, while at the same time aiming to strengthen the effectiveness of state management of security and order, effectively combat all criminal acts; create an appropriate legal mechanism for receiving and handling denunciations and reports of crimes and recommendations for prosecution, meeting the requirements of fighting and preventing crimes in the new situation.
The Circular consists of 3 chapters and 17 articles, clearly defining the scope of regulation, principles, responsibilities, and authority to receive and handle denunciations, reports of crimes, and recommendations for prosecution. The Circular specifically stipulates the tasks and organization of receiving denunciations, reports of crimes, and recommendations for prosecution; supervising the handling of denunciations, reports of crimes, and recommendations for prosecution.../.
