Instructions for candidates to calculate high school graduation scores in 2016
High school graduation scores are calculated based on the minimum scores of 4 subjects with the average score of the entire 12th grade year and priority and incentive points (if any).
After knowing the results of the 2016 high school exam, many candidates are certainly very interested in the high school graduation exam as well as the scoring method.
According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the calculation method for high school graduation exam scores in 2016 is the same as in 2015.
The graduation score will be calculated based on the minimum score of 4 subjects with the average score of the entire 12th grade year and priority and incentive points (if any).
The formula for calculating graduation admission scores is as follows:
To calculate the 2016 graduation recognition score, candidates will calculate the average score of 4 subjects registered for graduation, including 3 compulsory subjects: Math, Literature, Foreign Language and one elective subject.
For candidates who are not allowed to study Foreign Language, the score of the alternative subject will be used, which has been previously approved by the Director of the Department of Education and Training.
Then the candidate must add the average grade 12 score and divide it in half, and add the points with the priority (if any). The graduation score will be taken to two decimal places.
According to regulations, candidates who are eligible to take the exam, have not been disciplined from the level of exam cancellation or higher, all exams have a score of more than 1 point and have a graduation score of 5 points or higher will be recognized as graduating from high school.
The graduation certificates of the 2016 candidates will not be classified as Excellent, Good, Average... but only as recognition of graduation.
In case the graduation score of candidates is below 5, they will not have to retake the exam a second or third time but will have to wait to retake the exam next year.
In the 2016 high school exam, the Ministry of Education and Training decided that the failing score is 1. Thus, if a candidate has enough total score of 4 exams to pass the graduation exam but only gets 1 point in one exam, he/she will not be eligible for graduation./.
