'Huong Ga' scored a hat-trick at the Golden Kite 2014
The film starring beauty Truong Ngoc Anh won three important awards at the 2014 Golden Kite Awards ceremony held on the evening of March 12: Silver Kite for the film category, Best Actress for Truong Ngoc Anh and Director for Cuong Ngo.
Truong Ngoc Anh received the Best Actress award for her role as a boss in the movie 'Huong Ga'.
The 2014 Golden Kite Awards Ceremony and the ceremony to celebrate Vietnam Cinema Day took place at the Queen Hall Convention Center (District 4, Ho Chi Minh City) with the participation of many film and television stars.
The 2014 Golden Kite is an annual award honoring outstanding filmmakers and works, attracting 17 feature films to compete, much higher than previous years. In addition, there are 18 long-form television series (total of 563 episodes), 14 animated films, 4 film documentaries, 48 television documentaries, 7 scientific films, 29 short films, 3 research works, and critical theories of cinema and television.
In the most important category of the 2014 Golden Kite, Cinema, there was no Gold award. The Silver Kite award was divided equally among three films: The Village Children, Huong Ga and Lac Gioi.
Cuong Ngo won the Director award for the film 'Huong Ga'.
Not only winning the Silver Kite, Huong Ga also brought Truong Ngoc Anh the Best Actress award. This is truly an impressive 'comeback' of hers after a period of absence.
Huong Ga also won another important category, the Director award for Cuong Ngo. However, with three awards, Huong Ga still ranked behind The Village Children with four awards on the awards night.
Mai Thu Huyen's Lac Gioi also won 3 awards at the awards ceremony, including the Best Actor award for veteran actor Trung Dung.
