Responding to National Week of Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of April 26, in Dien Yen commune - Dien Chau, the Provincial People's Committee organized a launching ceremony to respond to the National Week of Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation (from April 29 to May 6). Attending the event were Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of relevant departments, agencies, and a large number of people from Dien Yen commune.

In recent years, implementing the National Strategy for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation approved by the Prime Minister, Nghe An province has issued many policies and strategies to mobilize investment resources to build clean water supply works, toilets, livestock barns and protect the environment. Up to now, more than 70% of rural people have access to clean water, of which more than 31% have access to clean water according to the standards of the Ministry of Health. Over 50% of households have toilets and hygienic livestock barns... These results have contributed to improving people's lives and changing the face of rural areas in Nghe An.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Dinh Viet Hong praised the achievements in implementing the National Strategy for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation in Nghe An province, and emphasized: To effectively implement the National Week for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation, Party committees at all levels, local authorities, mass organizations and societies need to focus on promoting propaganda and replicating models of management and sustainable use of centralized water supply works. The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is the core force coordinating with mass organizations to effectively implement the emulation movement to build green - clean - beautiful villages, with practical activities to protect the environment...
