"Homeland Flavor" on New Year's Eve

Tonight, February 9, 2013, i.e. December 29, Year of the Dragon (New Year's Eve), Vinh City People's Committee, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nghe An Radio and Television Station coordinated to organize the New Year's Eve Gala with the theme "Flavor of Homeland" at Ho Chi Minh Square. Attending the gala were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vinh City People's Committee and thousands of city residents.

The program began with a solemn and sacred flower offering at the Uncle Ho Monument. Next was the lion dance by the lion dance team from the wards and communes and a martial arts performance by the Nhat Nam Traditional Club of the martial arts school of master Ngo Xuan Nhuan. The audience also enjoyed special professional music and dance performances including songs and dances about Spring, impressed with traditional dances of the ethnic groups of Nghe An province performed by the Ethnic Music and Dance Troupe. Famous voices contributed to making the festival more joyful and radiant by singers Kieu Le, Que Thuong, Ngoc Ha, The Anh, Minh Tam... performed. The mass art performances were also very diverse and magnificent with singers Thu Huong, Minh Hoang, Hoang Son, Thuy Hanh. In particular, the final minutes were the hip hop dance performance by the Fuzzy Vinh band and the Gangnamstyle Flashmob performance by the Vinh city group.
