Accordingly, the fire broke out at 9:00 p.m. on July 1 in a corner of the pine forest in Tan Long hamlet and then spread to Ngoc Son hamlet.

Upon receiving the news, the local authorities mobilized more than 1,000 people from the Forest Protection Department, the Forest Protection Management Board, the Military Command, the District Police, the mobile militia platoon and the militia of 6 communes: Bao Thanh, Cong Thanh, My Thanh, Son Thanh, Khanh Thanh, Lien Thanh with the contribution of 63 soldiers of the 324th Regiment - Military Region IV stationed in Do Luong district to put out the fire. Because the fire area is a steep hill range, the fire spread quickly, so the fire fighting work encountered many difficulties.
