Mobilizing 11,000 people to go to the fields to kill rats

(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, in Dien Chau fields, there is a problem of rats destroying winter crops. Therefore, the district has mobilized 11,000 people to kill rats to protect crops.

After deployment, 37/37 agricultural communes mobilized over 11,000 people to fight rats.

The movement was launched from early September until the end of the winter crop with four basic measures: killing rats by manual traps, raising the water level to catch them, clearing bushes, and using biological and chemical pesticides to kill them.

Many communes have had creative ways such as Dien Tho, Dien Tan, Dien Thanh supporting 100% of the cost of medicine and purchasing rat tails at prices ranging from 500 VND to 2,000 VND/tail. Dien Truong supports 10,000 VND/sao of land for the cooperative to organize rat extermination...

Through that, the whole district has exterminated 50,000 rats, contributing to the safety protection of over 4,200 hectares of winter crops.
