Mobilizing resources to invest in building key infrastructure

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 22, under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee continued its regular meeting in May to listen to and give opinions on a number of important contents.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, delegates listened to and commented on the Report on the program of mobilizing resources to build key infrastructure in the province (reported by the Department of Planning and Investment); Project on developing key transport infrastructure in the province (reported by the Department of Transport); Project on building key infrastructure in the field of power supply in the province by 2020 (reported by the Department of Industry and Trade). The objective of the project: Mobilizing all resources to invest in developing modern key infrastructure at a fast, synchronous and sustainable pace to create a premise for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, serving the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country, successfully implementing the goals set out in Resolution 26-NQ/TW, creating the foundation for Nghe An to basically become an industrial province by 2020. Strive to speed up the construction of projects to resolve the congestion of the infrastructure system including: National highways, coastal roads, upgrading Vinh airport, seaports; Developing the external transport system, connecting the road, railway, waterway and air transport networks with key economic zones. Gradually develop synchronously and modernize large urban infrastructure, upgrade key irrigation projects, stabilize electricity and other important infrastructure projects.

After listening to the opinions of the meeting participants, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to synthesize and complete the contents of the three projects into a common project on mobilizing resources to build infrastructure to submit to the Provincial Party Committee. He noted that all levels and sectors need to have policies and mechanisms to encourage the mobilization of capital for infrastructure construction in the area; effectively use capital sources.

Regarding the Project to adjust the boundaries of the Southeast Economic Zone including the BECAMEX - Nghe An Urban and Service Industrial Park Complex Project (the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board reported), the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee unanimously approved the project. He requested to add some contents to the project to be submitted to the Provincial Party Standing Committee.
