(Baonghean.vn) -On May 13, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee worked with Anh Son district on the socio-economic development program, promoting the construction of new rural areas in the area. Anh Son district is one of the midland and mountainous localities that has completed the economic development planning in the direction of developing key plants and animals early. The areas of sugarcane, tea, food crops, vegetables and rubber are planned according to key areas and gradually linked with processing facilities and factories, contributing to increasing income per unit area. Up to now, the sugarcane area in the district has reached over 1,400 hectares, nearly 1,900 hectares of tea, rice-corn area over 6,500 hectares; rubber trees have been planted on nearly 2,000 hectares... Livestock is focused on and developed in the direction of goods. Industry and services in the area are shifting in the right direction.

The report of Anh Son District People's Committee affirmed that in recent times, local Party committees, authorities and people have focused on economic development, taking care of education and health care, ensuring social security, and promoting new rural construction. However, due to the impact of the domestic and world economy, the development speed of some areas has encountered many difficulties; Currently, the movement to build rural roads in communes is developing but lacks support from cement sources; some traffic works have been delayed for many years; some raw material routes on the right bank of Lam River to Binh Son, Thanh Son, Tho Son, Hung Son communes... are severely damaged, causing significant impacts on socio-economic development. Anh Son District People's Committee has also proposed that the province consider a number of policies to support the district in promoting the speed of socio-economic development and new rural construction.

After the speeches of representatives of provincial departments and branches, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong acknowledged the efforts of the Party Committee and people of Anh Son district in socio-economic development, ensuring social security, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke about some solutions to help Anh Son overcome difficulties and obstacles to develop socio-economic development in the area. He requested the district to strengthen the groups of management solutions, improve the working efficiency of the staff and civil servants; promote mass mobilization work, mobilize the combined strength to focus on economic development, and solve social issues well. The district continues to closely coordinate with functional departments, branches and enterprises to well resolve investment in production and livestock development associated with processing, and solve output for agricultural and industrial products in the area. The district needs to clearly define its responsibilities, together with the districts along National Highway 7 and neighboring districts, to promote the implementation of solutions to implement Resolution 26 of the Politburo, contributing with the Party Committee and people in the province to develop Nghe An into a fairly developed province of the country by 2015 and become the economic-social center of the North Central provinces by 2020; review the targets and tasks during the 19th Congress term to focus on directing implementation; focus on planning, training and fostering cadres at all levels, meeting the requirements of the tasks for the next term.
