Mobilizing resources well, soon completing the NTM criteria in 2014

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 5, in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, the Steering Committee of the National Target Program for New Rural Development of the province held a meeting with 14 communes registered to meet the new rural standards in 2014. Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for New Rural Development chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were representatives of provincial departments and branches, leaders of districts and towns in the province, and 14 communes registered to reach the finish line in 2014.

By June 2014, the whole province had 7 communes meeting 19/19 criteria (3 communes were recognized as Son Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghi Lien, Hung Dong, Vinh city), 4 communes meeting 18 criteria, 3 communes meeting 17 criteria, 15 communes meeting 16 criteria...

Of the 14 communes registered to finish in 2014, 6/14 have met 19/19 criteria, the remaining 8 communes have met 17-18 criteria and are striving to complete the remaining criteria to be recognized from now until the end of the year. Despite difficult conditions, limited investment budgets, and missing criteria requiring large investments, with the determination of local authorities, the participation of the entire political system, and the efforts of the people, the new rural construction movement in the 14 communes registered to finish in 2014 has made a strong breakthrough to soon complete the criteria this year.
