Typhoons No. 7 and No. 8 have been identified as two strong storms with complex developments and wide circulation. It is predicted that Dien Chau will be within the affected area, experiencing heavy rainfall and potentially causing widespread flooding. Given the dangerous nature of the storms, the Dien Chau Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Command has implemented seven measures to protect people's lives and property, infrastructure, dikes, and dams.
The district steering committee assigned 33 members to monitor each area, disseminate information, and guide the people in preparing for the storm. In 9 coastal communes, 100% of boats and ships, totaling over 1,380 vessels, were notified and organized to return to safe mooring areas, prohibiting them from going out to sea on stormy days. Simultaneously, rescue equipment was prepared, and forces were mobilized. It is anticipated that when high tides rise, 10 coastal communes and 3 communes near reservoirs will require evacuation of residents in dangerous areas.
