Legend Platini re-elected UEFA president
Former French football legend Michel Platini has received a huge consensus from more than 50 member football federations around the world, thereby he will continue to hold the position of UEFA president for another 4 years after being officially re-elected.
The French legend received almost absolute support in this election. Mr. Platini scored points thanks to the strong measures and changes in the law during his first term. Among them, he took strong measures to limit big teams from spending too much in the transfer market, helping to prevent the escalation in transfers.

Another major concern that Platini had during his first term and has continued to focus on in his second was violence and match-fixing. Last month, during a visit to Croatia and Serbia, Platini warned that the two national teams could be punished and disqualified from UEFA competitions if they failed to control the rising violence.
Referring to the issue of violence, the UEFA president said that there had been many incidents of violence on the pitch in the past year, affecting the image of the king of sports. At the same time, Mr. Platini also praised the heads of Scottish football - George Peat and Stewart Regan for their contribution to limiting division and factions within the country's football.
In his second inauguration speech, the UEFA president said: “I cannot give you a detailed roadmap to solve these problems. But my focus will be on changing the current competition schedule. Everyone knows that no one can play 365 days a year. So what UEFA needs to do is find a suitable schedule that balances the competitions.”
Michel Platini also announced that he will spend the next four years of his new term bringing the best to European and world football.
