Indonesia kills terrorist leader linked to IS
According to Indonesian officials, the leader of the extremist terrorist group in this country, Ali Kalora, was killed in a gunfight that occurred on September 18.
“Ali Kalora was one of two gunmen killed in the raid. The other was Jaka Ramadan. Both were killed on the afternoon of September 18 by a joint operation between the military and police in the Parigi Moutong mountains of Central Sulawesi. Kalora was the most wanted terrorist and leader of the Mujahidin network.IndonesiaTimur (MIT) has been linked to the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) organization since 2014,” Brigadier General Farid Makruf told the AP news agency.

“Security officers are still hunting for four other suspects of the MIT terrorist network,” Mr. Makruf added.
According to the AP news agency, the MIT terrorist network in Indonesia specializes in killing police officers and some people of other religions. In May, MIT gunmen killed four people of other religions in a village in Poso district, in revenge for the Indonesian security authorities in March killing two members of this network, one of whom was the son of the late MIT leader.
