The Vietnam People's Army currently has at least three types of pistols in service, including the K-54, K-59 and K-14.
The Vietnam People's Army is using three versions of pistols to equip its armed forces. The most common are the K-54 pistol, which is the Soviet version of the TT-33; the K-59 (Makarov PM version), which is only equipped for colonel-level officers; and the latest type, the K-14, which was researched and produced by Vietnam itself.

Unlike the K-54 and K-59, the K-14 was only produced in limited quantities and equipped for military shooting teams for evaluation. Perhaps in the future this gun will be the standard equipment of the Vietnamese army. Compared to the K-54 and K-59, the K-14 has more advantages such as holding more bullets, longer range, and a straighter bullet trajectory to increase accuracy.
