While you wait for this latest mobile device to hit the market, have you decided whether you will go for the 6 or the 6 Plus?
The two phones have almost identical specs: the same processor, with a fingerprint scanner built into the home button, a thin and light design, and built-in mobile payment capabilities for US users.
The only difference is the screen size. The iPhone 6 has a 4.7-inch screen, while the iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5-inch screen, making it a phablet. This means that using the iPhone 6 Plus with one hand or keeping it in a pocket or bag will be quite difficult.
Several tech sites, including Arstechnica, have released full-size models that users can download, print, and cut out to help consumers get an idea of the larger size of the iPhone 6 Plus.
Although it's bulkier than previous iPhone models, the Plus will support features like watching videos, playing games, or even increasing work performance.
Apple has changed the operating system of this model, making the device work well in both landscape and portrait screen states, helping users easily switch between applications, or view two applications at the same time.
In addition, the Home button also has some new commands added, so users can still use the device with one hand for some tasks such as checking notifications.
Not only that, the two models also differ in image stabilization and battery life. Both are equipped with the same camera, but the Plus is designed and equipped with anti-shake software, because the large size will make it more difficult for users to hold the device steady.
The 6 Plus' battery is also larger, and Apple claims the Plus will last for about 12 hours of continuous web browsing. The iPhone 6's battery lasts for just 10 hours.
After the initial launch on September 19, consumers in Switzerland, Italy, New Zealand, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Luxembourg, Russia, Austria, Turkey, Finland, Taiwan, Belgium and Portugal will be the next to welcome the new iPhones, starting on September 26.
Apple said that before the end of 2014, its new devices will be available in 115 countries worldwide./.
