Iran completes preparations to launch homemade space satellite
According to Voice of Russia, ITAR-TASS news agency quoted Iranian media sources as saying that the country has completed preparations to launch a homemade space satellite using a domestically produced rocket.

The SharifSat satellite will be launched into space by a Safir B-1 rocket with a mission to take pictures of the Earth from orbit, said Reza Sharif Rousta Azad, president of the University of Technology.
According to Mr. Azad, the satellite weighing about 50kg was designed and built by students, alumni and lecturers. The exact date and time of the launch has not been announced yet./.
