Iraq determined not to let foreigners use its territory to fight IS
According to Voice of Russia, Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari announced on December 10 that he would not allow foreign troops to be deployed on Iraqi territory to fight the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) group.
Speaking to Fars News Agency after a trilateral meeting in Tehran with his Iranian and Syrian counterparts, al-Jaafari said that the Iraqi army can handle its tasks on its own, stressing that in the fight against IS, the government army has received active support from militias.
