Israel decides to suspend defense aid negotiations with the US

Israeli officials said the main reason for the suspension of talks was growing tensions between the White House and the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The move will allow Tel Aviv to make a new proposal for defense equipment after the deal with Iran is finalized, according to a senior Israeli official.
This official affirmed that Israel is waiting for the nuclear negotiations to end to know exactly what the US signed and from there make demands to maintain Israel's security in the region.
However, other officials believe that Israel may extend the suspension of dialogue until the US has a new president in early 2017 to avoid contact with current US President Barack Obama, who has tense relations with Israel./.
